This Privacy Policy explains how Mattered LLC (“Mattered,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit mattered.com (the “Site”). It also explains the choices you have, including how we ask for your consent before running analytics or marketing tools.
The Short Version
- We don't run analytics, marketing, or tracking scripts until you allow them through our cookie banner.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track browser signals as an automatic opt-out.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We collect what you send us through our contact and booking forms, and — only with your consent — usage analytics.
- You can change your cookie choice at any time using the button below.
Information You Provide to Us
When you fill out a contact form, request a consultation, or book a call, you may provide us with your name, email address, phone number, company name, website, and a message describing your project. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, schedule calls, and manage our relationship with you.
Information Collected Automatically
Only with your consent, we use the following third-party tools, which may collect your IP address, device and browser identifiers, pages viewed, and interactions with the Site:
- Google Analytics 4 — website usage and traffic analytics, provided by Google LLC.
- HubSpot — marketing and customer relationship analytics, provided by HubSpot, Inc.
These scripts do not load, and no data is sent to these providers, unless you click “Allow” on our cookie banner. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, they stay off.
Cal.com — our scheduling tool loads only when you allow cookies or when you actively start a booking (for example, clicking “Book a Call”). It processes the information you enter to schedule your appointment.
Our web server automatically records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested page, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are first-party, are not used for marketing, and are retained for a limited period.
We do not use session-recording tools, keystroke logging, or chat wiretapping technologies on this Site.

How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and schedule consultations
- To provide and improve our services and the Site
- To understand how visitors use the Site (with consent)
- To communicate with you about services you've asked about
- To maintain the security of the Site
- To comply with legal obligations
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf — our website host, Google (analytics, with consent), HubSpot (CRM and marketing, with consent), and Cal.com (scheduling). Each is bound by its own privacy commitments and our instructions.
- Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights.
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we have collected from you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information, and any “sharing” for analytics purposes occurs only with your prior consent, which you may withdraw at any time
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hey@mattered.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
In the last 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described above (identifiers, commercial information you provide, and — with consent — internet activity information). We have not sold personal information.
Visitors Outside the United States
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, the consent-first approach described above applies to you as well: no analytics or marketing cookies are set without your affirmative consent, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are consent (analytics and marketing) and legitimate interest (responding to your inquiries and securing the Site).
Data Retention
We keep inquiry and contact information for as long as needed to serve you and for reasonable business records. Analytics data is retained according to the provider's settings (Google Analytics: 14 months). You may request deletion at any time.
Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.
Children
The Site is a business services website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Third-Party Links
The Site links to third-party websites (for example, our clients' sites and social platforms). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Material changes will be flagged prominently on the Site.
